REC SOLAR

I was asked by the design office Creuna to create an image bank for the Norwegian REC SOLAR company. Rec is one of the largest solar panel and solar cell producers in the world, with various facilities around the world.

it was fascinating to follow the whole process from the raw material to the finished glassy solar panel. On those assignments you intuitively become an expert,  something that is demanded to understand the whole process and  visualize it in the best way. i have been on several image bank assignments, but the Rec journey was definitely one of the most exciting.

Since the project contained many images from many locations, I shared this assignment with my friend and fellow photographer Oliver Helbig.

STEFFAN ERIKSSON

A wonderful offer for the known Swedish master chef Steffan Erikson. Steffan asked me to create a series of images, which would suit the walls of his newly opened restaurant, but also should function as his corporate identity.  I have made the drawings and plans and Steffan flew over with a small suitcase in his hand and stayed for 2 days. I was expecting some few clothes for this short period, but it turned out to be all kind of vegetables hiding in the suitcase instead.

Best raw ingredients are the key to the success of his kitchen. We decided not to show cooked food at all. With a knife in Steffans hand and mine on the release button we realized 3 images, which function as a Triptychon on a light table. No post production was included.

STIL LIFE

Stil life photography has always interested me in its synthetic nature. I like the process to build up something in front of your eyes just for the pure purpose of remembrance and let it go in the same moment. The studio on such assignments can sometimes look like after a catastrophe, while on screen of the camera the result looks in order. My approach to studio photography is often pragmatic and analogue. I like to finish the final result on the set with as little as possible involvement of post production. For that reason, I often enjoy to working with model or set builders.
